What is JVN Connect?

JVN Connect is a specifically designed programme for those in their 20’s and 30’s who are interested in volunteering. This initiative is open to all, it is suitable for individuals who are new to volunteering or have prior experience.

Our unique programme will showcase the positive impact of volunteering on peoples’ lives and the ability to make a difference to the wider world. We aim to highlight how volunteering can be embedded into individuals’ daily activities and to unleash their potential in making a difference to not only the lives of others but for themselves.

Programme Outline

Designed with the participants in mind the JVN Connect programme is focused on giving you the opportunity to have your say.
Split into two core parts, the programme will run over a course of 8 months from December 2023- July 2024.

Micro-Volunteering

The first part of the programme will be focused on pre-arranged volunteering activities indicated by the cohort.

Providing a overview of the different types of volunteering, participants will gain a understanding of the wide variety of opportunities available.

Cohort-led Project

We believe that ownership is key for successful volunteering.

Supported by the JVN team, we will provide the opportunity for the cohort to run a volunteering project for a charity of their choosing.

Socials

Volunteering by nature is a social activity and we want to emphasise the importance of this throughout the programme.

With both volunteering and specific social activities we hope that the cohort take the opportunity to get to know each other and build lasting connections.
